MFM Women Basketball Club and Nigeria Customs have secured their places in the Final Eight of the 2026 NBBF/Zenith Bank Women’s Premier League after impressive performances across the two phases of the regular season.
Two-time league champions MFM have been dominant in the Atlantic Conference, winning all 11 of their games across Lagos and Port Harcourt. Their perfect run has placed them at the top of the conference standings and guaranteed their qualification for the Final Eight.
Victoria Queens and First Bank have also secured qualification from the Atlantic Conference, joining MFM among the teams heading to Lagos for the next stage.
In the Savannah Conference, Nigeria Customs finished the two phases unbeaten. They sealed top spot after defeating ASO SKY Queens 60-42 in their final game of the second phase at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Kaduna State.
ASO SKY Queens finished second in the conference and will also advance to the Final Eight.
Air Warriors and Titans completed the Savannah Conference qualifiers. Titans defeated Plateau Rocks 54-31, while Air Warriors recorded a 76-45 victory over Nasarawa Amazons.
The results confirmed the four teams that will represent the Savannah Conference in the Final Eight.
However, the 2026 campaign has ended in disappointment for defending champions Dolphins, who have been eliminated after a poor showing across the two phases of the competition.
With the Final Eight now taking shape, the qualified teams will battle in Lagos for the league’s decisive stage and the opportunity to compete for the 2026 championship.
