Rogers placed Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi ahead of Neymar, while explaining that his admiration for the Brazilian is largely based on the extraordinary range of skills he displayed during his prime.

Speaking about his choice, Rogers praised Neymar’s ability and entertainment value, saying the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star could seemingly do everything with a football.

“For someone to watch, and his ability and everything,” Rogers said of Neymar. “For me, he can do everything with a football.”

The Chelsea attacker added that his list was a personal preference and acknowledged that several other players could reasonably be included in a greatest-ever discussion.

The England international has enjoyed a productive start to the 2026/27 campaign, with his performances alongside Cole Palmer and João Pedro** forming part of Chelsea’s attacking threat.

Rogers has previously spoken about his admiration for elite players, and his latest comments highlight the influence Neymar had on a generation of young footballers who watched his career at Santos, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
