ZIMBABWEAN DISABILITY ADVOCATE SINIKIWE KADEMAUNGA ZHIVA MOURNS HUSBAND REUBEN

Zimbabwean motivational speaker and disability inclusion advocate Sinikiwe Kademaunga Zhiva is mourning the death of her husband, Reuben Zhiva.

Sinikiwe announced the sad news on social media, prompting an outpouring of condolences and messages of support for the family.

Sinikiwe and Reuben got married in 2021, with their relationship drawing widespread admiration in Zimbabwe. Their union was celebrated by many who followed Sinikiwe’s inspirational journey and advocacy for disability inclusion and equal opportunities.

The couple later welcomed a son, further expanding their family.

Reuben was known by those close to the family as a supportive husband who stood by Sinikiwe as she pursued her work as a motivational speaker and disability rights advocate.

The family had reportedly faced health challenges in recent months. In June 2026, an appeal for financial assistance was reportedly launched following Reuben’s diagnosis with a bladder-related condition that required medical treatment. The fundraising effort was intended to help meet his medical expenses and provide support for the family.
