Nigerian TikTok streamer Peller has come under criticism after a man claiming to be the younger brother of his wife, Jarvis, accused him of attempting to interfere in the family’s affairs.
The controversy erupted following a heated exchange between Peller and Jarvis during a TikTok livestream over her younger sister and who should have authority over the girl’s future decisions.
During the livestream, Peller reportedly suggested that he and Jarvis should act as parental figures to her younger sister, including having a say in her future marriage.
Jarvis, however, rejected the suggestion, insisting that her sister already had parents and that decisions concerning her life should not be dictated by Peller.
She also told her husband to stop involving her family in their disagreement and concentrate on matters concerning their own household.
The argument reportedly escalated when Peller described himself and Jarvis as the girl’s father and mother, a statement that did not sit well with the AI content creator.
Following the exchange, a man who identified himself as Jarvis’ younger brother reportedly accused Peller of trying to control members of his wife’s family.
The allegation has generated reactions on social media, with users debating the boundaries between marriage, family responsibilities and personal independence.
The incident has also renewed attention on the couple’s relationship, particularly following previous public disagreements that have played out during livestreams.
Neither the identity of the man claiming to be Jarvis’ younger brother nor his allegations have been independently verified.
