Former Senator representing Katsina South Senatorial District, Bello Mandiya, has died at the age of 62.

Mandiya reportedly died in Abuja on Monday, September 7, 2026, according to the Katsina State Government.

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, expressed sadness over the former lawmaker’s death, describing it as a major loss to the state and the country.

Radda said Mandiya dedicated part of his life to public service and made significant contributions to Katsina State and Nigeria during his career.
