The Nigerian Army has arrested two individuals suspected of supplying logistics to Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in Borno State.
The suspects were apprehended during a security operation conducted by troops in the state as part of ongoing efforts to disrupt the activities and support networks of terrorist groups operating in the North-East.
The arrests are expected to assist ongoing investigations into the movement of supplies and other resources allegedly provided to terrorist elements in the region.
The Army said its operations are focused not only on confronting fighters but also on identifying and dismantling networks that provide logistical support to terrorist organisations.
The latest arrests form part of continued military operations aimed at weakening terrorist activities and improving security across communities in Borno and other parts of the North-East.
The suspects are expected to undergo further investigation to establish the extent of their alleged involvement and identify any other individuals or networks connected to the activities.
