Junior, the son of late Nigerian-British businessman and social media personality Igho Ubiribo, has challenged reports surrounding his father’s death in Thailand.
Ubiribo, popularly known as Tiny, Denisi and Ego, died in Bangkok on March 6 at the age of 43. His death recently attracted public attention after a British coroner linked it to complications from a cosmetic procedure.
However, in a video shared online on Wednesday, Junior said his family had not received sufficient information about what happened to his father.
According to him, the family only became aware of details surrounding the case after they began appearing online.
Junior strongly rejected the claim that his father died because of a penis enlargement procedure, alleging instead that his father was killed.
He also questioned reports about injuries he claimed were discovered on his father’s body, asking how such injuries could be connected to the cosmetic procedure.
However, Junior did not provide medical records or other evidence publicly to support his claims, and there has been no official confirmation of the injuries he described.
Son raises questions about father’s wife
Junior also accused his father’s wife, fashion designer and socialite Danielle Simba Allen, of failing to provide the family with adequate information about Ubiribo’s death.
He further questioned the legal status of their marriage and alleged that his father’s properties, watches and other belongings were taken to South Africa after his death.
Junior claimed that he was deprived of his inheritance but did not present documentary evidence to substantiate the allegations.
Allen has not publicly responded to the claims.
What the coroner found
According to evidence presented during a London coroner’s inquest, Ubiribo received injections containing hyaluronic acid and lidocaine at a clinic in Bangkok.
He later complained of chest pain while receiving a massage at his hotel and subsequently lost consciousness.
He was taken to hospital, where doctors suspected a pulmonary embolism. Medical personnel attempted to revive him for more than 100 minutes, but he died on March 6.
A postmortem examination in the United Kingdom reportedly found material in his lungs consistent with the hyaluronic acid used during the procedure.
Coroner Jean Harkin subsequently concluded that Ubiribo died from a pulmonary embolism linked to the cosmetic procedure.
The coroner’s ruling remains the official medical account of his death, while his son continues to dispute the circumstances and has called for greater clarity about what happened.
Speaking about his father, Junior said he remained hurt by the circumstances surrounding his death and criticised the way the story had been discussed online.
He ended his message by paying tribute to his late father, saying he missed him and believed he did not deserve what happened to him.
