Sharon Ademefun, the elder sister of Nigerian music star Davido, has challenged the perception that children born into wealthy families have unrestricted access to their parents’ money.
Speaking during an episode of The Morayo Show, Sharon explained that growing up in a wealthy family often comes with financial structures and limits, despite the privileges that come with such backgrounds.
According to her, children from affluent families may have access to opportunities, education, land and other assets, but this does not necessarily mean they can freely withdraw money from their family’s wealth.
She said many so-called “nepo babies” have more financial advantages than the average person, but still have to operate within budgets set by their families.
Sharon explained that children raised within a family wealth structure are often expected to make productive use of the assets given to them rather than simply relying on unlimited cash.
