Rose Idibia, mother of Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has defended her son against what she described as false reports and allegations circulating in the media.
Speaking in an interview with Vanguard, Mrs Idibia said the singer has endured significant criticism and public scrutiny but has remained focused because he knows the truth about himself.
She acknowledged that repeated accusations and reports could affect him emotionally, but said his knowledge of what he has actually done has helped him withstand the pressure.
According to her, some of the claims published about the singer in newspapers and on social media are untrue.
She said, “What kept him going is that some of the things that have been published about him in the dailies and online are not true.”
The singer’s mother added that she knows her son well enough to understand his capabilities and limitations.
