The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has extended the deadline for candidates with outstanding admission offers from the 2021 to 2025 admission exercises to accept or reject the offers.

Under the new arrangement, affected candidates now have until November 30, 2026, to indicate their decisions through the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

JAMB announced the extension on Wednesday, urging candidates with pending offers to log into their CAPS accounts and take the necessary action before the new deadline.

The board had previously fixed September 30, 2026, as the deadline after earlier extending the initial August 31 deadline.

JAMB warned that candidates who fail to accept or reject their outstanding offers by November 30 will have those offers reverted to “Not Admitted” on the board’s records.

The board also cautioned candidates against waiting until the final days of the extension, urging them to check their admission status and make their decisions promptly.

Candidates who accept their outstanding offers will be able to proceed with obtaining their admission letters, while those who reject the offers will have their CAPS status updated accordingly.

JAMB had previously clarified that candidates who have moved to another institution or programme could accept an earlier outstanding offer and subsequently apply for the appropriate correction or deletion where necessary.

Similarly, candidates who secured admission for the 2026 academic session but still had older outstanding offers were advised that rejecting the earlier offers would not affect their current admission.

The board further stated that any request to update an affected admission after the November 30 deadline would attract the applicable penalty fee.

JAMB therefore urged all candidates concerned to use the additional window to regularise their admission records before the deadline.
