Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington has reignited his long-running feud with Burna Boy, declaring that he wants to face the Grammy-winning singer in a boxing ring.
The rapper made the statement during an interview with Nevo Media while discussing his proposed boxing bout with comedian and streamer Carter Efe.
Speed Darlington said he hopes organisers will arrange a fight between him and Burna Boy after his planned encounter with Carter Efe.
According to him, a boxing match against Burna Boy would give him an opportunity to release the anger he has continued to harbour over their previous dispute, including his arrest.
“The plan is after I finish with the Carter Efe, I hope they can make it happen. I want Burna Boy next so I can offload all my anger on him.”
He added that such a confrontation would be a major personal highlight for him this year.
Speed Darlington also said he had no intention of forgiving Burna Boy, alleging that the singer was responsible for having him arrested. The allegation was presented as Speed Darlington’s account; the reports reviewed do not establish it as an independently verified fact.
“He had me locked up, that’s what he did to me. That’s the deal, I can’t forgive that. Even after the fight, we are still enemies for life.”
The latest comments come amid Speed Darlington’s proposed boxing showdown with Carter Efe, adding another potential celebrity bout to the rapper’s ongoing public exchanges with fellow entertainers.
