Music executive Don Jazzy has denied reports that he was responsible for the alleged arrest of an X user who made a controversial claim involving him and the mother of his signee, Ayra Starr.
The controversy began after the social media user shared videos of Don Jazzy and Ayra Starr’s mother, accompanied by a claim that the pair were expecting a child together. Don Jazzy previously appeared to dismiss the allegation.
Days later, reports surfaced that the X user had allegedly been arrested and was in police custody. The development led some social media users to question whether Don Jazzy had taken action over the post.
On Monday, October 5, an X user directly asked the Mavin boss whether he was behind the reported arrest.
Don Jazzy, however, denied having the individual arrested. He suggested that the social media user might have deliberately created the controversy to attract attention and generate engagement online.
His response has since sparked reactions from social media users, with some praising him for choosing not to escalate the situation, while others continued to debate the original claim and the alleged arrest.
The incident has once again highlighted how quickly unverified claims involving celebrities can spread across social media, with Don Jazzy making it clear that he does not want to be linked to the reported arrest.
