Controversial Anambra-based cleric, Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, popularly known as Odumeje, has opened up about his childhood and the circumstances he said shaped his early life.
Speaking to content creator Ashmusy, Odumeje said he grew up in Onitsha and described his younger self as a “bad boy” and a very dangerous person.
The cleric, however, credited his mother for playing a major role in changing the direction of his life.
According to Odumeje, his mother ensured that he was exposed to the Christian faith, which he described figuratively as being “arrested” by the Lord Jesus Christ.
“I was raised in Onitsha as a bad boy, a very dangerous guy. Thank God for my mother that made sure I got arrested by the Lord Jesus Christ,” he said.
His revelation has sparked reactions online, with many focusing on the contrast between the childhood he described and the public religious persona he has developed over the years.
