The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has congratulated Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, following his appointment as the Anambra State Coordinator of President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 Presidential Campaign Council.
The party described Soludo’s inclusion in the campaign structure as recognition of his leadership and commitment to cooperation between APGA and the Federal Government.
In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Ejimofor Opara, APGA said the appointment reflected the governor’s support for progressive politics and strategic collaboration in the interest of Anambra State and the South-East.
The party maintained that its decision to support Tinubu’s re-election bid was consistent with a resolution reached at its National Executive Committee meeting. It also recalled the President’s working visit to Anambra on May 8, 2025, as part of the process leading to the endorsement.
According to APGA, cooperation between the state and the Federal Government has helped facilitate federal support for infrastructure and economic development initiatives in Anambra.
The party, however, stressed that its backing of Tinubu at the presidential level does not mean it is relinquishing its political position in the state. It maintained that APGA would continue to field candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly seats in Anambra.
Soludo’s appointment comes as the All Progressives Congress expands its presidential campaign council ahead of the 2027 general election, bringing together political figures from different parties to coordinate support for Tinubu.
