Popular Wizkid supporter Emmanuel George, widely known as FC Spokesman, has criticised Nigerian singer Davido following reports that the singer’s uncle endorsed President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a post circulating online, FC Spokesman accused Davido and his family of contradicting their earlier political position during the Osun State governorship election.
According to him, Davido was actively involved in the campaign period, both online and offline, and criticised people who supported the APC, describing them as enemies of progress.
He questioned why the singer’s family would now support Tinubu and the ruling party after benefiting from the outcome of the Osun election.
In his statement, FC Spokesman said: “Davido, you and your family are the real enemies of the people and progress of Osun State.”
He further accused the singer of misleading his supporters, describing him as a political tool.
The criticism has added another layer to the online exchanges surrounding celebrity involvement in Nigerian politics, with public figures frequently facing scrutiny over their political affiliations and endorsements.
However, the comments reflect FC Spokesman’s personal opinion, and the reported endorsement does not, by itself, establish that Davido has changed his own political position.
