Two 10-year-old Nigerian twin brothers, Jason and Jaden Ojo, are preparing to make their debut as published authors with the launch of their first children’s book, JJ The Sloth and the Twins, in Lagos.

The book, co-authored with their mother, Gina Ehikodi-Ojo, is scheduled for launch on Saturday, 24 October 2026, coinciding with the twins’ 10th birthday celebration.

The story introduces JJ the Sloth, a character designed to help children understand the importance of daily routines, positive habits and balancing responsibilities with play.

Through the character, young readers will explore everyday activities such as preparing for school, learning, eating, resting, playing and keeping their surroundings tidy.

The idea reportedly emerged from a simple exercise at home. Their mother had established a daily routine for the boys, and when she asked them to write down their activities from memory, their responses closely reflected the structure she had created.

That experience inspired the family to turn an ordinary household routine into a children’s story with the message that there is time for everything.
Gina, a Nigerian food influencer and content creator with a substantial online following, said she believes children need structure while still having room for creativity and the freedom to enjoy childhood.

She expressed excitement about seeing her sons become authors at such a young age and hopes the project will encourage families to build healthy routines in an enjoyable way.

Beyond the book, the family is developing JJ the Sloth into a broader children’s entertainment and learning brand, featuring digital content, a plush toy and a television and online series.

The first phase of the series will feature 13 episodes, released weekly on YouTube through JJ The Sloth Adventures. The episodes will explore topics including dressing, breakfast, screen time, science, arts and play.

The launch event will feature a book-signing session, family activities, media engagements and the premiere of the series’ first episode.

Pre-orders are also open, with book deliveries expected to begin on 26 October 2026.

The twins’ achievement highlights the role of family support and creativity in nurturing children’s talents, while offering young readers an entertaining way to learn about discipline, responsibility and everyday life.
