In her condolence message, Natasha expressed deep sorrow over his passing, saying his death was a significant loss to his family, Delta State and Nigeria.
She noted that losing a family patriarch leaves a void that cannot easily be filled, particularly when the person has provided guidance, support and wisdom to generations of relatives.
The senator also acknowledged Uduaghan’s contributions to public administration, highlighting his years of service to Delta State.
Uduaghan served as Commissioner for Health from 1999 to 2003, Secretary to the State Government from 2003 to 2007, and governor from 2007 to 2015.
Natasha said that although public office eventually comes to an end, the impact of a life devoted to service can endure long after the individual has left office.
She extended her condolences to the Uduaghan family, friends, associates and former colleagues, praying that God would grant them the strength to endure the painful loss.
The former governor’s death was announced by his family on Monday, 19 October 2026. The family described him as a beloved father, brother, uncle and respected elder whose memory would remain with those whose lives he touched.
