Nigerian gospel singer Victoria Orenze has cautioned worshippers against recording her during ministration, warning that she would not tolerate anyone who disregarded her instructions.
The gospel minister issued the warning while addressing members of a congregation during a ministration, where she expressed displeasure with people using their phones to record her instead of concentrating on the worship session.
Orenze reportedly warned that anyone who continued recording despite being told to stop would be asked to leave the venue.
“I’ll send you far away from here,” she said, stressing her position against the practice.
Her comments have drawn attention online, with the incident generating conversations about phone use during church services and the balance between personal recording and respecting a minister’s instructions.
While some social media users supported her stance, arguing that worshippers should remain focused during spiritual gatherings and respect the rules of the event, others questioned the firmness of her approach.
The development has also revived discussions about the growing habit of recording religious services and sharing clips on social media, sometimes at the expense of being fully present during worship.
Orenze is known for her intense worship sessions and emphasis on spiritual devotion, which have earned her a following among gospel music lovers in Nigeria and beyond.
