Emeka Stanley has issued a public apology to Nkwankudu Justice Chiazam and Dr Ikenna Telema Okongwu following his decision to reshare a social media publication that generated further comments and reactions.
In the apology, Stanley acknowledged that he had circulated through his WhatsApp platform a post originally published on Instagram by an account known as “True Stories with Ifeoma”.
He also extended his apology to anyone who may have been hurt by his actions or the comments that followed the circulation of the publication.
Stanley said he did not intend to damage anyone’s reputation and expressed regret over the outcome of the incident.
He further announced the retraction of the publication, describing the apology as part of the terms of a settlement agreement.
However, Stanley clarified that the apology should not be interpreted as an admission of a crime or defamation, stressing that it was being made in fulfilment of the settlement reached by the parties.
