Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall has signed a new long-term contract with the club, committing his future to St James’ Park despite interest from Manchester United.
The 22-year-old joined Newcastle from Chelsea in 2023 and has made 107 appearances for the Magpies. He also played a key role during Newcastle’s successful 2024/25 Carabao Cup campaign, although he missed the final through injury.
Hall has started the new season strongly, playing every minute under new head coach Matthias Jaissle, including three Premier League matches and two Carabao Cup victories.
Jaissle praised Hall’s ability, mentality and defensive maturity, describing him as an important part of Newcastle’s plans for the future.
Hall said he was delighted to extend his stay, adding that representing Newcastle and making the club’s supporters and his family proud means a lot to him.
The new deal is a major boost for Newcastle as they look to build a competitive squad under Jaissle.
