Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has praised Nigerian celebrity chef and Guinness World Record holder, Hilda Baci, for her determination and remarkable achievements in the culinary world.
Governor Eno gave the commendation on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, when he received the Akwa Ibom-born chef at the Government House in Uyo, the state capital.
The governor described Baci’s success as an example of how courage, determination and a willingness to push boundaries can help people achieve extraordinary goals.
He also praised the chef for bringing recognition to Akwa Ibom through her culinary achievements and encouraged her to continue representing the state positively.
Baci, who hails from Akwa Ibom, expressed her appreciation for the governor and spoke positively about the state’s development. She described Akwa Ibom as “amazingly beautiful” and praised the facilities at the Victor Attah International Airport.
The chef also highlighted the hospitality and industrious nature of the people of Akwa Ibom, while expressing her willingness to work with relevant stakeholders to support the state’s development.
Baci further encouraged tourists and investors to explore Akwa Ibom’s tourism, hospitality and investment opportunities, noting the potential for businesses and communities to benefit from them.
The Guinness World Record holder also called on residents of the state to promote love, unity and peace as part of efforts to encourage sustainable development.
