Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington has said his long-running dispute with Grammy-winning artiste Burna Boy remains unresolved, insisting that he has no plans to forgive the singer.

Speed Darlington made the remarks while speaking with Nevo Media, where he also expressed interest in facing Burna Boy in a boxing match.

The rapper said he would like to take on Burna Boy in the ring after his proposed bout with skit maker Carter Efe.

According to him, such a fight would provide an opportunity to release the anger he has continued to harbour over his previous arrest, which he has repeatedly linked to Burna Boy.

Speed Darlington said he hopes organisers will make the proposed clash happen, describing it as something that would make the year particularly memorable for him.

He also maintained that his relationship with Burna Boy would remain hostile even if they eventually settle their differences inside a boxing ring.

The rapper said he could not forgive Burna Boy over what he alleged was the singer’s role in his arrest.

The dispute between the two entertainers dates back to 2024, when Speed Darlington was detained following a complaint linked to comments he made about Burna Boy.

Speed Darlington has now reiterated that the disagreement remains unresolved, saying a potential boxing encounter would not end their rivalry.

“I want Burna Boy next so I can offload all my anger on him. That would be sweet, that would be the highlight of this year,” he said.

He added that even after a fight, the two would still remain enemies.
