The ADC Presidential Campaign Council urged the Inspector-General of Police, the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to invite Tenebe for questioning and determine whether the remark amounted to incitement or a threat.
The opposition party said the 2027 election should be decided through the ballot box and not through intimidation or threats.
As of the latest reports, there is no indication that Tenebe has been invited or arrested by security agencies over the comment.
The controversy comes as political parties intensify mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections, with campaign rhetoric and statements from major political actors increasingly coming under scrutiny.
