A Nigerian woman has sparked a heated debate online after calling for the banning of DNA paternity tests, arguing that they are contributing to the breakdown of marriages and families.
In a viral video shared on X, the woman questioned why married men would conduct DNA tests on children born during their marriages if they genuinely trust their wives.
She argued that any child a woman gives birth to while married should automatically be regarded as the husband’s, even in cases where the woman may have been unfaithful.
According to her, men who have doubts about their wives should question why they married them in the first place, rather than resorting to DNA testing.
The woman repeatedly called for DNA tests to be banned, claiming that they are destroying homes and creating unnecessary problems in marriages.
She also compared modern relationships with previous generations, noting that DNA testing was not common among their forefathers, who simply accepted children born in their homes as their own.
