Tickets for the highly anticipated heavyweight showdown between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua sold out within just 60 minutes, highlighting the enormous excitement surrounding the long-awaited clash between the British boxing rivals.

More than 80,000 tickets were released for the bout, scheduled for December 11 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. According to reports, over 500,000 fans were waiting in the online queue as sales opened on Friday.

Ticket prices ranged from £88.50 to £13,128, including booking fees, but the strong demand saw the available seats snapped up within an hour.

The fight, which will be streamed globally on Netflix, is expected to rank among the biggest events in British boxing history. Fury and Joshua, both former two-time heavyweight world champions, have been linked with a potential meeting for years but have never faced each other in a professional bout.

The main event is expected to begin in the early hours of December 12, with ring walks scheduled for around 1 am GMT following a live music performance.

Despite the sell-out, tickets quickly appeared on resale websites, with some ringside VIP seats reportedly advertised for as much as £73,645, while upper-tier seats were listed at around £425.

The two fighters are also reportedly set to share a purse worth close to $200 million (£151 million). However, organisers have yet to announce the undercard fights.

The bout is now set to bring an end to years of speculation over whether the two heavyweight stars would finally settle their rivalry inside the ring.
