One person has been injured after a Toyota Camry rammed into a trailer along the Lagos State University (LASU)-Iba Road in Lagos State.
The accident occurred at about 7:45am on Monday near Pennafort Filling Station, inward First Gate, according to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).
The agency disclosed the incident in a post on its official X account, attributing the collision to brake failure.
LASTMA identified the injured person as the driver of the Toyota Camry, although it did not provide further details about the victim’s condition.
The agency said its personnel, alongside officers of the Nigeria Police Force, were at the scene to manage the situation and carry out the necessary emergency response.
The incident adds to concerns over road safety and the importance of ensuring that vehicles are properly maintained before being driven on public roads.
Motorists have continued to be advised to conduct regular vehicle checks, particularly on critical components such as braking systems, to reduce the risk of road crashes.
