A lady has sparked reactions on social media after revealing why she blocked a 42-year-old man who reportedly declared her his future wife on the day they first met.
The woman, in a viral video, explained that she initially considered giving the man, identified as Mr A, a chance. However, their conversations about his finances, living arrangements and lifestyle reportedly raised concerns that eventually made her end communication with him.
According to her, the pair met two weeks before she shared her experience. She claimed that the man immediately described her as his wife, explaining that his mother had predicted he would meet his future spouse that day.
The lady also disclosed that Mr A had previously been engaged to another woman around 2017 or 2018, but the relationship ended. She said he blamed the failed engagement on his former fiancée’s alleged lack of submissiveness.
Lady Questions Man’s Living Arrangements
The woman said she became concerned after learning that the 42-year-old man, despite having a well-paying job in the technology sector, still lived with his parents.
According to her account, Mr A had moved out of his parents’ home when he became engaged to his former partner. However, following the collapse of the engagement, he returned to his parents’ house and had reportedly remained there for several years.
She explained that she had no problem with people living with their parents because of financial difficulties. Her concern, she said, was why a man with a good income had not established an independent household.
The lady also claimed that when she asked whether he contributed to his parents’ mortgage payments, he told her the mortgage had already been paid off and that he occasionally helped with utility bills.
His response reportedly raised further questions about how he managed his income and whether he had taken sufficient steps towards financial independence.

The lady said the man told her that he enjoyed travelling and spending time with his male friends. She questioned why he had not made plans to acquire his own home despite his reported earnings.
She also criticised his expectation of having a submissive wife, arguing that he needed to demonstrate greater independence and responsibility before expecting those qualities from a prospective partner.
Describing herself as a first daughter who was accustomed to taking responsibility, she said she did not want to enter a marriage where she would feel compelled to take care of a partner who had not learned to manage his own affairs.
The woman further claimed that Mr A’s mother still cooked for him and that he planned to leave his parents’ home only when he eventually got married.
She questioned why he needed to wait until marriage before establishing an independent life.

The woman explained that she eventually decided to cut off communication after concluding that their expectations and approaches to life were incompatible.
She said she did not want to engage in prolonged arguments over the issues they had discussed. Instead, she told him she would call him back before blocking his number.
