The camp of former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi has expressed confidence that he will secure more votes in Lagos State and other parts of Nigeria in the 2027 presidential election.

Yunusa Tanko, National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, said the opposition candidate’s political structures had become stronger since the 2023 general election, raising expectations of improved electoral performance in the next polls.

Tanko said Obi’s political movement had gained additional support and organisational strength, which he believed would help the former governor expand his electoral reach.

He also pointed to the involvement of Rabiu Kwankwaso and the growing number of candidates contesting under the same political platform as factors that could improve the opposition’s chances in 2027. <Cite refs={[“turn578057search0”]}/>
