The Senate of the Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara, in Kogi State, has expelled one student and rusticated two others for one academic session over separate cases of misconduct.

The decisions were taken at the university’s 33rd Regular Senate Meeting on September 30, 2026, following recommendations from the Students’ Disciplinary Committee.

The expelled student, Samuel Asipita David, a 300-level Electrical Engineering student, was found guilty of participating in a fight involving students and providing false information to the disciplinary committee during his initial appearance.

In a separate case, Abdullahi Zeinulabideen Ozovehe, a 200-level Common Law student, was rusticated for one academic session after being found responsible for tampering with a CCTV camera at the Faculty of Law.

Another 200-level Common Law student, Olumide Miracle Eniola, was also rusticated for one academic session over an offence involving placing her legs on a male student’s lap.

The university said the sanctions were imposed in line with relevant provisions of its Students’ Handbook and the university law.

The latest disciplinary action reflects the institution’s continued enforcement of its rules as it seeks to maintain discipline and acceptable conduct among students.
