Popular Nigerian businessman and socialite Cubana Chief Priest has declared that criticism of his support for President Bola Tinubu will not weaken his loyalty to the president.
In a statement making the rounds online, the celebrity said that the more supporters are bullied for backing Tinubu, the stronger their affection for him becomes.
“The more they bully us for supporting Tinubu, the more we love him,” he said.
His remarks have reignited conversations on social media, with Nigerians expressing different opinions about celebrity endorsements, political loyalty and the right to support a preferred candidate.
While some may see his stance as a show of loyalty, others may question the influence of celebrity support on political conversations.
What is your take? Should celebrities openly defend the politicians they support, regardless of criticism?
