Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has urged Nigerians to stop criticising fashion entrepreneur Evelyn Cute over her recent relationship troubles and reported disappearance, insisting that people should show empathy rather than rush to judge her.
Evelyn, whose real name is Onyema Evelyn, is the founder of 44 Clothing. Her reported disappearance sparked concern among friends, associates and social media users before she was later found alive and confirmed to be safe.
Reacting to the development, Nkechi said people should be careful about judging others over decisions they make in the name of love, arguing that outsiders may not understand what someone is experiencing in a relationship.

She urged Nigerians to “cut Evelyn some slack”, accusing some social media users of appearing more interested in hearing negative news about the fashion entrepreneur than hoping for her safe return.
Nkechi also expressed gratitude that Evelyn had been found alive, although she jokingly warned that she would reprimand her when they next met.
“Thank God you are safe, but I go still beat craze comot your head if I see you sha,” she added.
The actress concluded by revealing how worried she had been throughout the ordeal, saying, “No be small panic attack you give me.”
Her reaction has reignited conversations about love, relationship struggles and the tendency of social media users to judge people without knowing the full circumstances behind their personal experiences.
Nkechi’s comments also highlighted the emotional impact Evelyn’s reported disappearance had on those close to her, despite the criticism surrounding the incident.
