Barcelona captain Raphinha has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him at the Spanish club until June 2030.
The 29-year-old Brazilian forward’s new deal extends his previous contract, which was due to expire in 2028, as Barcelona continue to secure the services of key players for the future.
Raphinha joined the Catalan giants from Leeds United in 2022 and has grown into one of the club’s most influential figures, earning the captain’s armband following the departures of Ronald Araújo and Marc-André ter Stegen.
The forward has enjoyed an impressive start to the 2026/27 campaign, scoring 19 goals and providing three assists in 13 appearances across all competitions.
His outstanding form has strengthened his importance to manager Hansi Flick’s side, with the Brazilian continuing to deliver goals and leadership in attack.
Raphinha recently expressed his desire to extend his stay at Barcelona, even suggesting that he could finish his professional career at the club.
Since arriving in 2022, he has established himself as a key contributor to Barcelona’s success, helping the team win major domestic honours.
The contract extension represents a significant commitment from both the player and the club as Barcelona look to maintain their competitiveness in Spain and Europe.
