Nigerian music stars BNXN, Runtown and Patoranking are set to headline the 2026 Nigerian Independence Day Parade and Carnival in New York City.
The event, scheduled for October 3, will commemorate Nigeria’s 66th Independence anniversary and is expected to draw thousands of Nigerians, friends of the country and members of the wider African diaspora in the United States.
BNXN, whose real name is Daniel Benson, will perform alongside Douglas Jack Agu, popularly known as Runtown, and singer-songwriter Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, known professionally as Patoranking.
The trio are expected to be among the major attractions at the annual celebration, which combines entertainment with cultural activities aimed at promoting Nigeria’s heritage among Nigerians living abroad.
The parade is organised by the Organisation for the Advancement of Nigerians (OAN) in partnership with other groups under the Nigerian Independence Day Committee (NIDC).
According to the organisers, the celebration will showcase different aspects of Nigerian culture through music, fashion, food, dance and other cultural displays.
