The Federal High Court in Lagos has scheduled September 21, 2026, to hear a motion seeking the winding up of NICON Insurance Limited.
The case came before Justice Akintayo Aluko, who fixed the date after the matter was brought before the court.
The winding-up application forms part of ongoing legal proceedings involving the insurance company and parties seeking judicial intervention over the company’s affairs.
The court is expected to consider the arguments of the parties when the motion is heard and determine whether the requirements for the requested winding-up order have been met.
NICON Insurance Limited, one of Nigeria’s long-established insurance companies, has been involved in various legal and regulatory matters concerning its operations.
The September 21 hearing will provide an opportunity for the parties to present their respective positions before the court.
Further developments in the case will depend on the arguments presented and the decision of the Federal High Court.
