A 28-year-old Nigerian man, Adebayo Maoli, has been arrested and charged in Toronto, Canada, following allegations that he exposed himself to passengers on the city’s subway system.

The Toronto Police Service said the alleged incidents occurred at King and College subway stations on 1 September and 3 October 2026.

According to the police, the first incident happened at about 3pm on 1 September, when Maoli allegedly exposed himself to two passengers aboard a southbound Toronto Transit Commission train at King Station.

The passengers reportedly activated the train’s emergency alarm, prompting the suspect to leave the train.

In a separate incident at about 12.10am on 3 October, police alleged that Maoli followed a passenger who was leaving a train at College Station.

Investigators said the passenger boarded an escalator, but the suspect followed and allegedly exposed himself. The passenger confronted him, causing him to flee the scene.

Following investigations, Maoli, who lives in Toronto, was charged with one count of sexual assault and two counts of committing an indecent act.

Police said he was scheduled to appear before the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on 9 October 2026.

Investigators also expressed concern that there could be additional victims and appealed to members of the public with relevant information to assist the investigation.

The allegations have not been proven in court, and the accused is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
