José Mourinho has urged Real Madrid players to remain fully committed to the club and give everything on the pitch, stressing the importance of trust between a manager and his players.
The Portuguese coach, speaking about his approach to working with footballers, used the phrase “Don’t betray me” to underline the level of loyalty and commitment he expects from his players.
Mourinho explained that his message is centred on football and the understanding that players must repay the trust placed in them through their attitude, discipline and performances.
He also stressed that being a professional footballer goes beyond the hours spent in training, with players expected to take their careers seriously both on and off the pitch.
