Residents of Ilobi, Eredo and neighbouring communities in Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State are set to benefit from improved road connectivity following the completion of the Ilobi–Eredo Road, facilitated by Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi.
The project represents another infrastructure intervention linked to the senator, who represents Ogun West Senatorial District and is the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 election.
The completed road is expected to ease transportation difficulties, improve connections between communities and facilitate the movement of people, agricultural produce and other goods.
With better road access, local businesses and traders could also benefit from improved commercial activities, while residents may find it easier to reach markets and other essential services.
Infrastructure Development in Focus
The completion of the Ilobi–Eredo Road adds to ongoing discussions about infrastructure development across Ogun West, particularly in communities where road conditions have affected movement and economic activities.
Senator Adeola has continued to pursue development interventions in the district, with roads and other community projects forming part of his engagement with residents.
The road project is expected to contribute to grassroots development by improving access between settlements and supporting local economic activities.
As preparations for the 2027 governorship election gather momentum, infrastructure delivery and the completion of community projects are likely to remain important issues in discussions about development priorities in Ogun State.
